Hope Brown, MA, LMHC
Hope has a Master’s degree in Counseling from Huntington University and has recently become a licensed mental health counselor. She has worked as a counselor at Taylor University and in private practice. Also, she was an adjunct professor of Psychology at Huntington University before coming to Wabash Friends Counseling Center. Prior to her counseling experience she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Youth for Christ organization. In addition to her professional employment, she is working with her husband to raise healthy children who develop their talents, are kind to their neighbors and have a heart for Jesus.
Chris Curless, MA, LMHC, NCC
Christine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. Past counseling experience is in community mental health, experiential interventions, career advising and residential treatment for teens. Previously, Christine worked at Indiana Wesleyan University’s Center for Life Calling and Leadership empowering college students to find their calling and purpose. Areas of interest and experience include posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety and panic disorders, depression, grief and loss, domestic violence, identity issues, smoking cessation and employment counseling. Christine is a registered Tier 3 Star Behavioral Health provider for veterans, service members and their families.
Teresa Johnson, MSW, LCSW
Teresa graduated with a Masters in Social Work from Indiana University-South Bend. Her counseling interests include families and individuals dealing with depression and anxiety issues, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant, family and marital counseling, sexual abuse, and mental health needs. Teresa brings over 18 years experience of working with families and defiant adolescents. For the past 5 years, she has treating adults and adolescence who have been incarcerated. Teresa currently holds an Indiana Clinical Social Worker License and is a certified domestic relations mediator.
Cheryl Oden, MA LMHC
Cheryl graduated with a Masters in Community Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her counseling interests include families and individuals dealing with depression and anxiety issues, substance addiction and abuse, family and marital counseling, sexual abuse, domestic violence, grief and loss, and mental health needs. Cheryl brings over 16 years experience serving families by providing home based counseling and case work to her therapy work. She is a National Certified Counselor and is working toward licensure as a mental health counselor. Cheryl is married and has two adult children.
Amy Terrell, M.Div. MA LMFTA
Amy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Romance Language Education from Olivet Nazarene University. She also has a Masters of Divinity from Wesley Biblical Seminary with an emphasis in Pastoral Counseling. In 2012 she graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Masters in Counseling. Amy has her associate license in marriage and family therapy and is working toward licensure. Amy is known for her enthusiasm and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Amy enjoys listening to the hearts of the people in her life and helping them discover unique and incredible things about themselves. She believes that redemption and healing are possible, no matter what has happened in the past. She knows that the journey can be difficult, but worth every growing moment.
