Laura is a licensed mental health counselor and member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Laura received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Ball State University after her undergraduate work at Taylor University. For six years, Laura worked with children (ages 2-18) and families in intensive outpatient, group, family, and individual counseling. Laura currently works with children, teens, and women. Laura uses a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy to promote emotional literacy, positive problem solving, communication and coping skills, and healthy relationships. Her counseling interests include working with families, women, teens, and children dealing with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues at home or school, trauma, abuse and neglect issues, adjustments such as with divorce, grief and loss, and other mental health needs. Laura has lived in Kokomo, IN since 2006 when she returned from a year of serving children at risk in South Africa.
