Laura is a licensed mental health counselor and member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Laura received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Ball State University after her undergraduate work at Taylor University. For the past five years, Laura has worked with children (ages 2-18) and families in intensive outpatient, group, family, and individual counseling. Laura uses various expressive therapies including play therapy and art to promote emotional literacy, positive problem solving, communication and coping skills, and healthy relationships. Her counseling interests include working with families, teens, and children dealing with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues at home or school, trauma, abuse and neglect issues, adjustments such as with divorce, grief and loss, and other mental health needs. Laura has lived in Kokomo, IN since 2005 when she returned from a year of serving children at risk in South Africa.
